Due to the outpouring of community support, the funds donated in Hannah’s memory will not only be directed towards a special piece of equipment in one of the
George Gregan Foundation playgrounds, but will greatly assist in the upgrade of the Children’s Hospital at Westmead playground.

On13 March 2010,Hannah Coary, a Year 2 student at Holy Spirit School North Ryde, passed away on after battling a cancerous brain tumour.

“Try for Hannah” was established by Hannah’s friends and family to honour Hannah.  They are encouraging members of their local community to run in a family fun run on Sunday, 12th September 2010 to show their support for Hannah and raise money for the George Gregan Foundation.

The Try for Hannah Fun Run/Walk took place on Sunday 12 September as part of the 2010 Ryde Rivers Festival.  Over one thousand people participated in the event, dressed in bright orange “Try for Hannah” t-shirts and caps.  The George Gregan Foundation would like to thank everyone who supported this amazing event.
