2011 Cocktail Evening
On Thursday 10 November, approximately 220 people enjoyed an evening of music, food and entertainment at Glass Brasserie, Sydney Hilton to raise money for the George Gregan
Foundation. Lending their support on the evening were Foundation ambassadors Mark Lizotte, Phil Waugh, Jenny Morris, Peter Overton, Jessica Rowe and Matthew Burke.
Highlights of the evening include the soulful voice of Gary Pinto accompanied by guitarist Michael Dolce, with an impromptu performance bythe delightful Shanti Woodend. The food was spectacular, the auction was nail biting and the rocking tunes of Diesel got the dance floor moving. It was a fun night and guests generously pledged donations from the National Playground Wish List of equipment and towards the George Gregan Foundation Fellowship.

2009 Fundraising Event for Randwick Playground
The George Gregan Foundation held a fund raising event in November 2009 to raise funds to build an all access outdoor playground at the Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick.
The event began with a Golf Day at Bonnie Doon Golf Club with a team from Bing Lee taking out first place.
The night was billed as “An Evening with Jimmy Barnes and Friends” with entertainment provided by Jenny Morris, Jimmy Barnes and others. Foundation Ambassadors John Eales, Sam Neill, Jenny Morris, Peter Overton, Jessica Rowe, Melissa Doyle, Phil Kearns, Richard Harry and Matthew Burke lent their support on the evening.
A highlight of the night was a rousing rendition of the Cold Chisel classic “Khe Sanh” performed by George Gregan, Matthew Burke, Phil Kearns, John Eales and Richard Harry.
It was a great night and guests generously pledged donations from the Wish List of equipment for the Randwick playground.
Thanks to the incredible support of our donors, the Foundation was able to build the playground at Sydney Children’s Hospital in May 2010. The playground was built by Mirvac who did such a wonderful job of building the first George Gregan Foundation playground at Westmead.

George Gregan Foundation gala dinner - 3 August 2007 Sofitel Wentworth Sydney

On Friday 3 August 2007, the George Gregan Foundation held its annual golf day and fundraising dinner. With the support of generous individuals and corporations, the Foundation raised over $1 million for its key projects. The money raised will be used for additional playground equipment at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, to complete the playground at the Royal Children’s Hospital Brisbane and for renovations to the neurology ward at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. In addition, the Foundation raised the funds to continue supporting the George Gregan Fellowship in Paediatric Neurology at Westmead. This important Fellowship allows both research in epilepsy and also surgical practices.
Supporting the fundraising event were actors Sam Neill and Bryan Brown, Channel 7 personalities Jessica Rowe and Melissa Doyle, legendary entertainers Jimmy Barnes, Diesel and Jenny Morris, current and past Wallabies, Australian cricketers Ricky Ponting and Brett Lee and a host of other friends. A highlight of the evening was a presentation to George which was hosted by Jane Kennedy and was titled ‘This is Your Boring Arse Life’.

Sydney – National Playground Fundraising Gala – 21st September 2006
The annual National Playground Fundraising Day included a fantastic day of golf at Bonnie Doon Gold Club followed by a spectacular gala in the evening at Glass in the Hilton Hotel, Sydney. Over $400,000 was raised over the course of these events for children’s hospitals across Australia.
A fantastic array of prizes were auction off on the night including George Gregan’s world breaking test jersey, spectacular experiences with the Australian Defence Forces, 2007 Rugby World Cup Package, 60 U2 Vertigo tickets at Telstra Stadium and much much more.
Jon Stevens and his band played through out the night and had the crowd entertained while Phil Kearns led the proceedings as MC.

Canberra – The Heroes’ Playground
On Thursday the 6th of April 2006 The George Gregan Foundation launched The Heroes' Playground campaign in Canberra to help raise much needed funds to build a playground for the Canberra Hospital.
